How To Make Your First Sale Marketing As An Affiliate
Affiliate Marketing can be somewhat (or completely) unbelievable at first.
While laying on the back of a yacht, sailing the Caribbean and soaking in the sunshine, you could be earning thousands of dollars in affiliate sales through your website that never stops working. Even when you do!
– I know it sounds like BS, but it’s happening all over the place.
Through marketing and advertising, your website can become just like property. With each article being its own piece of online real estate.
Note: If you like this idea I am about to share with you, I want you to know that it can take a lot of time to set up and get rolling. But for those who are willing, here’s how to make your first sale, marketing as an affiliate.

#1 Find Your Niche
Yeah, yeah… You’ve heard the word “Niche” so many times it’s going out of fashion, right. We’ll It’s not. Almost all successful websites online cater to a particular niche or an audience who are interested in a specific topic.
Here’s how you pick a niche for yourself if you want to dive into the online world, but not sure how you will ever create an income out of it.
Note: I am not a GURU. Nor am I technically qualified in this…. These are a couple of my ideas I think will help.
Ask yourself these three questions:
What do I most enjoy?
It’s proven (and obvious) that if your passionate about your work you will enjoy it a whole lot more than if you are not. So you must find a topic/market that you are passionate about… Otherwise whats the point in doing this.
Is there money in this niche?
Think products and services. What do people buy relating to that market? Write a list. Think of all of the things you could sell possibly based on that niche.
What do I know a lot about?
Could you write 100 articles about this topic right now? If not would you want to research this topic and write 100 articles about it?
If you are passionate about your topic, know a lot about it, and there are many products that others invest in.. You could be on to a winner!
#2 Research Affiliate Products
You possibly began researching what products you could sell while looking for your niche, but now it’s time to dig a little deeper.
Sites like Clickbank, CJ Affiliates, and JVZoo offer hundreds of different information products that creators have submitted which you can re-sell as an affiliate and earn a percent of the profits in commissions for doing so.
Note: Aim for products that have over a 30% commission.
Think. Do you want to be associated with this product/company?
When you promote something, your reputation is on the line. If your followers and website viewers don’t trust you, it’s over. Know the products you’re selling inside and out.
If you don’t stand by them and recommend them 100%, then don’t promote it.
I made the mistake of this early on in my entrepreneurial journey which is why I make this point. Have you ever experienced those people who tried to get you to join their awesome business opportunity that could make you a lot of money? Yeah, I am embarrassed to say I got roped in and became “one of those people.” I didn’t realise what I was doing at the time.
Because of this, I struggled.
I would write blog posts trying to convince them to buy this program… Which made me look like a dick. And lose most of my email subscribers and readers. I went as far as private messaging people in an attempt to promote this opportunity; then everyone started avoiding me like the plague.
However, the moment I stopped. Deleted any “let me make you rich” type blog posts and wrote an honest, quality article about how I save a bunch of money during my travels (like this one). Things began picking up again very quickly.
I learned the hard way, If you share top quality products and services you will get top quality results from your websites articles.
